SKILLS SCHOLARSHIP OF TESDA
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has a project entitled "Barangay Kasanayan para sa Kabataan" (BKKK). It aims to give equal opportunities for those who can have a little access to skills training and learning program, thus, TESDA now extends skills training for free through scholarship grant. The target beneficiaries are those who need skills for employment here and abroad, self-employment, entrepreneurship and small-scale business and family enterprises.
The scholarship grant can be availed of in three (3) ways, as follows:
a) Nomination from Barangay Chairman and/or members of the Barangay Council;
b) On-line application where the barangay folks in need of skills can apply for training using TESDA's website; and
c) Walk-in where the applicant files written application direct to TESDA's central, regional, provincial and district offices.
In the early part of 1900 during the American Regime, Tuba started to have a written history of its own. Tuba was then a part or the Baguio Township. In fact, when the American started their administration, Baguio was made Capital of Benguet when the first civil government was established in 1900.
